An All-State baseball player tragically dies at the young age of 18

Brandon Looney, an All-State baseball player in Virginia, died in what is being termed a "work accident," according to WCYB-TV.

Looney, 18, died in an accident at a car dealership, the television station reported.

Looney, according to his obituary, was a 1st-team, All-State player as a third baseman for Honaker High School, which sent out a heartfelt tribute:

But while he was talented on the baseball field, he another passion — auto mechanics. His life long dream was to become an auto mechanic and open his own shop. He was already on his way, as he received a certificate in Auto Mechanics from the Russell County Career and Technology Center.

There are no details on the accident that took his life.
