This college baseball collision at first base is as nasty as you'll see on the diamond

Louisville and Cincinnati squared off against each other in baseball on Tuesday night, which resulted in a 6-2 win for the Cardinals. During the game, we saw one of the nastiest baseball collisions in a long time at first base.

Louisville shortstop Devin Hairston was trying to leg out a bunt attempt and collided at the bag with Cincinnati infielder Kyle Mattoe, sending Mattoe flipping into the air and Hairston to the ground hard.

Hairston ended up being safe because the ball popped out on the collision with Mattoe. Thankfully, neither player was seriously injured on the play, just a little shaken up from the brutal collision.
