Preseason All-American suffers devastating injury in practice

This is unfortunate.

Notre Dame senior and preseason All-American Bonzie Colson will miss up to two months of the seasons after he suffered a foot fracture in practice. The team released this statement:

The 6-foot-5, do-it-all forward was averaging 21.4 points, 2.4 blocks, two steals, 1.1 assists and 10.4 rebounds per game. He was shooting 52.6 percent from the floor as well and now the team will have to figure out a way to make up for those kinds of stats and stay competitive in the tough ACC as the conference slate ramps up in the coming weeks.
