College powerhouse picks up crucial fifth commit in its class

He was originally committed to Mississippi State.

North Carolina is potentially losing a lot of firepower this offseason with Justin Jackson going pro and three major contributors graduating in Nate Britt, Kennedy Meeks and Isaiah Hicks. That means Roy Williams has some space freed up on scholarships to go after a few more recruits than usual in 2017's class and it looks like he's done just that with his latest commitment from four-star forward Garrison Brooks:

The 6'9",  230-pound forward is rated as a four-star by ESPN and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Alabama. UNC also has five-star shooting guard Jalek Felton, along with four-star players Brandon Huffman and Andrew Platek in the class. Roy Williams has also picked up a commitment from three-star center Sterling Manley.
