Former Kansas star accused of domestic violence

The series with the Los Angeles Clippers has prompted action.

Kansas has not had a great year off the court as several players have gotten in trouble one way or another. It seems that the issues are extending to former players as well as former Jayhawk Jeff Withey is in trouble as he's been accused of domestic violence against his former fiancé Kennedy Summers according to TMZ.

From the TMZ report:

Law enforcement sources confirm the report was filed in Manhattan Beach, CA on Tuesday and references multiple alleged incidents. We're told cops are focused on one alleged incident from 2016.

Our law enforcement sources tell us cops were called to an incident involving Withey and Summers last year, but no report was made at the time and nobody was arrested.

Apparently the two have had relationship issues for some time as they broke up because Withey had taken someone else to the movies behind Summers' back and she decided to trash him on social media. They then got back together and were even engaged in 2016 before calling things off in October of that year.

Withey is averaging 2.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.6 blocks a game this season for the Jazz and could see an uptick in playing time with Rudy Gobert's sprained knee keeping him out of games.
