Rising four-star wing man Aaron Wiggins commits to Big Ten school over couple of power programs

He got his decision out of the way early.

Aaron Wiggins has been a fast riser in the class of 2018 recruiting rankings. He went from being the 159th overall recruit to the No. 43 overall according to 247Sports' own rankings. The North Carolina native didn't have any offers from UNC or Duke though, which would help explain why he went with an old rival in Maryland:

The 6'6", 180-pound small forward also had offers from Kansas and Arizona though so he turned down a couple huge schools by choosing Maryland. However, he took his only visit up to College Park and coach Mark Turgeon was the only head coach to visit him as well.

247Sports has him rated as the No. 10 small forward in the class and the No. 5 recruit in the state of North Carolina.
