Indiana's top recruit spurns hometown Hoosiers for this storied program

That one stings.

Kris Wilkes is a 6'7", 195-pound small forward out of Indianapolis that had the hometown Hoosiers in his top five list of schools. However, he decided to go to the West Coast with his commitment and will be a UCLA Bruin next season.

The Hoosiers missed out on a five-star recruit in Wilkes and it's especially hard to bear considering he's so close to home. That commitment gives UCLA the best recruiting class in 2017 though with three four-star commits and Wilkes who is a five-star. The Bruins also have LiAngelo Ball who is the brother of current freshman Lonzo Ball.
