UCLA could probably place its finger on a number of reasons why they lost to Kentucky in the Elite, but of course LaVar Ball has his own thoughts. It couldn't have possibly been his son Lonzo only scoring 10 points and committing four turnovers, it had to be something else. In an interview with the Orange County Register, Ball basically blamed "the white guys" for the loss.
From The Orange County Register:
"Realistically you can't win no championship with three white guys because the foot speed is too slow," LaVar Ball said. "I told Lonzo - 'One of these games you might need to go for 30 or 40 points.' It turned out the that was the one game. Then once they get to the Elite 8, they're right there."

I guess he didn't watch the 2010 Duke team that won a championship starting three white guys and playing another two heavy minutes. Ball was presumably talking about Thomas Welsh, Bryce Alford and T.J Leaf. While those guys aren't the player that Lonzo is, they were crucial to going 31-5 and getting that far in the tournament. Maybe Lonzo should have stopped De'Aaron Fox from scoring 39 points in the game because I would imagine that might have helped too.
