He was taken to jail.

This joy ride may not end joyfully for a Missouri man.

University of Missouri  police have arrested Nathaniel J. Conant, 23, of Columbia Missouri, after they say he went on a joy ride in his Volkswagen Passat — inside of Mizzou Arena, according to the Kansas City Star.

Police went to the arena Sunday morning after receiving a report of property damage, When they arrived, they determined a vehicle went through an arena gate and a garage door, and then damaged several golf carts before driving on to the baseball court's floor.

Police identified Conant as the suspect, and he turned himself in Sunday afternoon. He was booked into jail and freed on $10,500 bond, the Star reported. Authorities estimated damage at $100,000.

Conant was arrested and faces charges of second-degree burglary and four counts of first-degree property damage — both felonies — the Star reported.

Conant, graduated in December 2016  from Missouri with a degree in English, and the Star reported that he was an events assistant for the SEC Network. The university told the Star he was a temporary employee who was not longer employed by Missouri.
