Projected top 10 pick makes decision on his basketball future

He's going to make some people very happy.

Arizona big man and sharp shooter Lauri Markannen intrigued many front office personnel and scouts throughout this past college basketball season and it looks like there's been enough interest to warrant him declaring for the NBA Draft in June.

Signing with an agent is key here as he would have been able to go back to school after the NBA Combine if he did not sign with one. He's clearly confident in where he'll land in this draft and he should be as most sites have him as a top draft pick because of his size and ability to shoot the ball.

While that's a nice number of threes, he also averaged 15.6 points and 7.2 rebounds while shooting almost 50 percent from the floor. The Timberwolves are slotted in as the No. 8 pick right now so pairing him with another shooting big like Karl-Anthony Towns could be a devastating twin tower combo and help the Wolves finally get back to the playoffs.
