Nation's top overall recruit Vernon Carey Jr. has four schools beginning to stand out

Sounds like some schools are in good standing.

Five-star power forward Vernon Carey Jr. is the top ranked overall recruit in the class of 2019 and had a top-8 list that he dropped in October. While he hasn't officially trimmed his list, he told Rivals that there are four schools sticking out to him right now and he does have a timeline for when he might trim the list.

"I will probably narrow it down to a final three in the spring after the season," he said before naming four schools that have begun to stand out. "Duke, North Carolina, Miami and Michigan State."

The 6-foot-10, 245-pound forward out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. had Duke's entire staff watching him at the John Wall Holiday Invitational so you know it's serious in his recruiting. He also has offers from UConn, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky and Louisville among many others.

He's got some time to make his commitment of course so it could be awhile after he trims his list to three.
