AP Poll Week 7: SEC now with three teams ranked in the Top 10

The demised of the non-Bama SEC have been greatly exaggerated.

Perhaps the demise of the SEC — well, the SEC outside of Alabama — was slightly over-exaggerated.

Thanks to the resurgence of Georgia and Auburn this season, the SEC now has three teams in the Top 10 of the newest version of the AP Poll. Alabama is still the incumbent No. 1 team, while Georgia is up to No. 4 in the rankings. Auburn squeezed into the Top 10 by taking the No. 10 spot this week.

The SEC is now tied with the Big Ten for most teams in the Top 10, as both conferences have three each. The Big Ten had four last week before Michigan fell at home to Michigan State this week.
