Four-star outside linebacker Nathan Proctor, the No. 11 player at his position, committed to Virginia Tech ahead of the Under Armour All-America Game.
Proctor, a Maryland native, was projected to be choosing between Pitt (his first offer as a recruit), Virginia Tech and Penn State, with the Hokies given a 90 percent chance to land the elite linebacker, per 247sports.
He also had offers from Ole Miss, Georgia, Louisville, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Florida.
He reportedly has visits lined up for Penn State and Pitt, but has already taken an official visit to Virginia Tech.
