It looks like this recruit decided to stay close to home.

On Friday, three-star wide receiver Racey McMath (6-foot-3, 215 pounds, New Orleans, La.) spurned several powerhouses when he announced his commitment to LSU.

McMath picked the Tigers over Texas A&M and Mississippi State. Per 247Sports, McMath actually cancelled an official visit to A&M in order to commit to LSU.

This is another solid pickup for LSU and head coach Ed Orgeron. LSU now has 20 commitments for their 2017 class, which currently ranks third in the SEC and seventh overall, per 247Sports.
