Mark Richt takes veiled shot at ACC opposition over recruiting tactics

Sounds like he might be a little jealous.

Clemson is sitting on top of the football world having won the most recent College Football Playoff title over Alabama. That just means everyone else is going to be salty and especially everyone in the conference. That most definitely seems to apply to Miami's Mark Richt as he took a veiled shot at the Tigers and their incredible football facilities on Thursday.

Per The Palm Beach Post:

"It's like no other place in America," he said. "Even in recruiting, we can sell things that no one else can sell. They can build all they want. They can have all they want. I mean, there's schools building slides and playgrounds in their building, just so they can have fun. I said, we've got the beach. We don't have to build some slide to have fun."

The Palm Beach Post was at a ceremony for Richt that saw him get the key to the city and the acceptance speech lasted all of 73 seconds. Despite the brevity of the speech he still found a way to throw some shade at Clemson. Surely he just wants a shot at the Tigers after the Hurricanes were embarrassed 58-0 in 2015 —- the year before Richt got there —- which was their last meeting.
