This year’s NFL Draft is supposed to be pretty deep along the defensive line and it’s looking like there’s a good chance Myles Garrett will become the top pick in this year’s draft. However, one NFL coach is already looking forward to the 2019 draft and is already predicting the top pick in that draft.

One anonymous coach says that Clemson freshman defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence will take the top spot in two years when he becomes eligible.

The 6’5″, 340-pound tackle made an immediate impact in his first year on campus with one fumble recovery, 62 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and two blocked kicks. Assuming those numbers get better over the next two years, it’s not totally far fetched to say that he would be worth a top pick. His chances become better considering the emphasis that teams are putting on drafting defensive difference makers as well.
