Yet another Clemson QB announces intention to transfer

That is less than ideal.

Clemson already lost quarterback Zerrick Cooper to transfer and now it looks like fellow quarterback Tucker Israel will join him.

Israel will graduate first though and should become immediately eligible to play wherever he lands next. He was a redshirt sophomore this year so there is a chance he has two years of eligibility left rather than the normal single year for graduate transfers.

That now leaves Clemson with incumbent starter Kelly Bryant as well as incoming five-star stud Trevor Lawrence, rising sophomore Chase Brice and rising sophomore Hunter Johnson as quarterback options. Israel was a former three-star recruit out of Orlando, Fla. and had offers from Florida, Louisville, Kentucky and Ole Miss among others coming out of high school.

Israel completed all four passes he attempted in his three seasons for 25 yards. He also rushed once for two yards.
