Xavier Thomas is the top defensive end in the class of 2018 and the No. 2 recruit overall in the country according to ESPN. That usually means a much-watched recruitment and that is certainly becoming the case despite his commitment to Clemson back in April. Rumors had been started that Thomas was going to de-commit from Clemson, but he shot those down real quick.
The 6-foot-3, 269-pound DE who plays for IMG Academy in Florida was actually on campus at Clemson for the Auburn win. He told TigerNet that he had a good time and that the fans "are really special." Thomas holds offers from pretty much every major powerhouse like Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, LSU, Miami and plenty of others.
