After frustrating 2016 campaign, FSU's Derwin James makes impassioned plea to Nole nation

James is expected to be one of the top returning defensive backs next season.

Florida State defensive back Derwin James has played in just two games in 2016 after an electrifying freshman season.

The standout defensive back is recovering from a torn meniscus and head coach Jimbo Fisher officially shut him down for the final three remaining regular season games with the opportunity to possibly return in a bowl game.

James reached out to Seminole fans with a plea of patience:

James is expected to be one of the top returning defensive backs next season, when the Seminoles hope yet again to vie for a College Football Playoff spot.
