Florida State defensive back Derwin James played in just two games in 2016 after an electrifying freshman season, but it appears he's already nearing full health after suffering a torn meniscus.

Head coach Jimbo Fisher shut him down over the final stretch of the season following a standout freshman year where he racked up 91 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

The No. 1 safety in the 2015 class shared a message earlier in November to Florida State fans, and it looks like he's taken that note seriously:
