Dalvin Cook just made a bold proclamation ahead of the NFL Combine

He's feeling emboldened.

There are some great choices for teams in need of running backs this year with the likes of Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, Donnel Pumphrey, Christian McCaffrey, Samaje Perine, D'Onta Foreman and Wayne Gallman. There are more that could turn out to be great backs as well, but there's only one claiming to be the best in this draft.

The majority of those guys are at the NFL Combine and had their media day on Thursday. Dalvin Cook spoke and he claimed that he is the best running back in this NFL Draft. "I'm just a do-it-all back, and I just feel like I am the best back in this class," Cook said.

Cook finished with over 4,400 rushing yards and over 900 receiving yards in his three-year career so his claim isn't too far. He had 48 total touchdowns with 46 of those coming on the ground. He's a projected first rounder, but many people have Fournette ranked ahead of him. However, that won't stop Cook from trying to prove why he's the best back in this draft during the Combine week.

"It's all on me now," Cook said of his chances to be an early pick in the draft. "It's all on how I go perform, and how I [can] jump the draft board. The week is here that I've been waiting for, so I just have to go and do my part."

He already showed out on the bench press with 22 reps and will have to show his speed in the 40-yard dash as well as all the other drills that can help him make his case as the best running back in the upcoming league.
