Hurricane Irma is already making an impact on Week 3's Florida State-Miami game

That's a pretty huge move.

Hurricane Irma is bearing down on the state of Florida and several games have been cancelled for this weekend including Florida's game against Northern Colorado, Florida State's game against Louisiana-Monroe and USF's game against UConn. Now it's expected to affect on of the bigger rivalry games, Florida State's contest against Miami, per the Tallahassee Democrat:

"Florida State announced on Saturday afternoon that the campus will be closed through Friday, Sept. 15. An official announcement for the football game scheduled for Sept. 16 is expected to come as early as Sunday.

Instead of playing this Saturday the Seminoles and Hurricanes would meet on Oct. 7, which both teams share as an open date."

The new projections for Hurricane Irma have the storm going right through the panhandle and endangering the city of Tallahassee.

It's always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to natural disasters rather than try to play through it. An official announcement is expected to come on Sunday from the schools.
