Florida State running back Jacques Patrick might have gotten away with a targeting hit against Duke

Curious...

It's not often that offensive players get called for targeting, but that should have been the case on this play. Quarterback James Blackman threw an interception and running back Jacques Patrick went to end the play with a tackle on the interceptor and did. However, it looks like he landed a pretty clear targeting-type hit with a helmet to helmet smack.

The replay booth actually prompted the review, but apparently didn't think there was enough to eject him despite seemingly launching himself and leading with his helmet. It also appeared that the runner was stumbling, which would make him a defenseless player at that point.
