Jameis Winston makes boldest statement of his very young career

This a bold claim.

Jameis Winston has turned heads in his first two NFL seasons as the starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of those seasons and now he's making quite a bold claim and setting himself a lofty goal.

He told NFL Total Access that he wants to better than all the greats that have come through the league. Here is exactly what he said as transcribed by 247Sports:

"Ultimately, I want to the be the greatest of all time one day. That has to be your goal. People will say 'well, that will never happen,' but I don't know that'll never happen until I'm all done, so I'm going to do everything I can to be great."

He's certainly on his way there having the hold of some rookie records and being the only person in the NFL to have thrown for over 4,000 yards in their first two seasons in the league. With the addition of some seriously great receiving weapons around him like DeSean Jackson, O.J. Howard and Chris Godwin he can expect to throw for a lot more yards this season.
