Jimbo Fisher spoke to the media on Tuesday at length about his team. One huge question people had was who would be the starting running back. Fisher answered that question and made it quite clear that none of the freshmen are the leaders heading into camp.

Jacques Patrick is a junior and was a solid backup to Dalvin Cook last season recording 350 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 61 carries. The Seminoles but also had several high-profile running backs coming on campus in No. 2 overall recruit Cam Akers, No. 1 all purpose back Khalan Laborn and No. 8 overall RB Zaquandre White as well as sophomore Amir Rasul.

Most people expected Akers to get the nod because of his freakish athleticism and blinding speed, but Fisher is sticking with his veteran for now.
