Much needed Florida State defender could be back soon

FSU needs this guy!

Florida State's defense has been ravaged by injuries so far this season and Derwin James has been one of the worst injuries for this team. The 6'3" safety has been missing for several weeks because of a meniscus tear in his knee.

While he won't be available this week against Wake Forest, he will be re-evaluated during next week's bye week. Coach Jimbo Fisher said after practice on Thursday that James is "healing and feeling good" heading into that re-evaluation.

Should James be available to play the next week it would be coming against a high octane Clemson offense. The initial deadline for James' return was 5-7 weeks, which would have happened at the Clemson game, but he's been declared out indefinitely as of now.
