NFL.com's mock draft has the supposed No. 2 running back taking a hard fall in the draft

This might not be the worst thing ever.

ESPN recently dropped Dalvin Cook in its latest mock draft to being the third-best running back behind Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey. However, that draft only has him dropping to No. 17 to the Washington Redskins. Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com has him dropping even further than that and all the way out of the top 25 picks.

In fact, Jeremiah has him going No. 27 to the Kansas City Chiefs and under the coaching of Andy Reid. Here's why he likes the pick though:

Cook is the perfect fit in Andy Reid's system, and he would be a tremendous value at this point in the draft. The Chiefs could then turn around and trade one of their current backs for an extra draft pick.

With the departure of Jamaal Charles, this actually makes pretty good sense and could actually end up being a very good landing spot for Cook. He would be catching balls out of the backfield and would still likely be the focal point of the run game for the Chiefs.
