Five-star running back James Cook (6-foot-0, 181 pounds, Miami, Fla.) was formerly committed to Florida State, but he decommitted from the school a few months ago.

That said, don’t count out the Seminoles just yet.

Following Cook’s most recent official visit to Georgia, Cook told Rivals that he is planning on taking officials to Florida State and USC. Rivals also mentions that Louisville, Auburn, and Alabama could still get official visits from Cook, but at this point, they will be in competition for those visits; Cook will only have two left he if does go through with the USC and Florida State visits.

Georgia is currently considered the favorite for Cook.

Cook is currently rated as a five-star and the No. 3 running back in the nation by Rivals.
