Recruiting juggernaut already telling 6'5" QB Grant Gunnell he's 'the number one guy'

That's a pretty big compliment.

Grant Gunnell may not be making a decision on his collegiate future until 2019, but it looks like one recruiting powerhouse is already making its move on the young gunslinger. The 6'5", 207-pound pro-style passer has been in contact with Florida State since last summer when he attended a camp and now they are making sure to keep in touch and made his last five visit list.

"I'm going through all my visits so I can cut it down," Gunnell told Noles247. "I'm going to Oklahoma State, Arkansas, I'm going to visit Florida State and then Nebraska."

And it sounds like the Seminoles are in great shape or at least telling Gunnell all the right things heading into the visit and beyond.

"I've just been talking to coach (Tim) Brewster and coach (Jimbo) Fisher a lot. They say that I'm the number one guy they want right now. So I want to go there and see what they do, I want to watch the spring game and see how they coach and stuff," he said.

If Brewster and Fisher are saying that he's going to be the top guy in the class then you better believe that holds some weight and will probably get him on campus. Gunnell also said that he is planning on making his decision at the end of this coming summer so it looks like the two coaches will have to make quick work of this recruiting process.

He's rated as the No. 3 pro-style QB in the country and the No. 2 recruit in the state of Texas according to 247Sports.
