No. 3 Notre Dame gets absolutely embarrassed at Miami

This was a bit of a shock.

There appears to be no more questioning on if Miami deserves to be ranked among the top teams.

The No. 7 Hurricanes dominated the No. 3 Fighting Irish with a 41-8 victory on Saturday night, largely thanks to four forced turnovers by the Miami defense. The crowd in the Hard Rock Stadium was as loud as it has ever been, and the Miami sideline was essentially on fire every time the now classic "turnover chain" got brought out.

Despite being undefeated, Miami was ranked under several one-loss teams in the College Football Playoff rankings due to some lackluster performances earlier in the season. However, with back-to-back wins over Virginia Tech and Notre Dame, it appears The U is indeed back and now are now a solid contender to move up into the Top 4 with losses from Georgia, TCU, and of course, Notre Dame.

Also important: Miami clinched their first ever Coastal Division championship on Saturday. They will officially play Clemson in this year's ACC Championship Game on Dec. 2.
