Potential SEC starter, senior dismissed following a second rules violation

This is a bummer for this program.

The Kentucky Wildcats are moving on from Alvonte Bell with the team announcing that the former three-star recruit was dismissed from the team.

Bell, who was suspended one game in 2016, was reportedly dismissed for a violation of team rules by head coach Mark Stoops.

Bell wasn't a major player on the defensive line for the Wildcats in 2016, but the senior defensive end was in the mix to grab a starting spot this summer. Now, obviously that will no longer be the case with Bell booted from the team.

The Kentucky Wildcats are looking to build off their strong 7-6 campaign in 2016, but not having Bell on the defensive line is going to hurt.

Bell nabbed 27 tackles for Stoops' team in 2016.
