Another ESPN analyst is returning to the college coaching ranks

He'll join the legendary Butch Davis.

FIU recently announced that it would be hiring Butch Davis as its new head football coach and now he has to fill out the spots for his staff. It looks like he will be bringing along a fellow ESPN analyst with him in Dan Hawkins according to Sporting News.

Hawkins will become the offensive coordinator for Davis after having been a head coach at Boise State (2001-2005) and Colorado (2006-2010) and a coach in the Canadian Football League for five games.

Hawkins led his Broncos team to a 53-11 record at Boise State, which led to his hiring at Colorado. The Buffaloes went 19-39 under Hawkins with just one bowl appearance and no seasons with a winning record before his firing.
