AP writer suggests a surprising name as LSU's next OC if Lane Kiffin doesn't join the Tigers

This wouldn't be awful.

Lane Kiffin remains one of the hottest coaching candidates on the market, recently drawing the attention of Houston among other programs.

So when asked about if Mark Helfrich, the recently fired Oregon coach, could be a fit at Alabama if Kiffin leaves or at LSU if Kiffin goes elsewhere, associated press writer Ralph D. Russo chimed he could see a fit at LSU

Oregon was No. 19 in the country in total offense this season under Helfrich.

The former head coach was the offensive coordinator under Chip Kelly's high-octane offense and has been instrumental in developing quarterbacks, including Marcus Mariota.
