One preseason ranking of all FBS teams has a stunner in the Top 5

Not everyone on the USC hype train?

Looks like not everyone is on the USC bandwagon. Well, at least not only on the USC bandwagon.

Athlon released their full summer rankings of all 130 teams in the FBS, and the usual suspects where at the top of the list: Alabama is No. 1, followed by Ohio State and Florida State to round out the first three.

Getting to No. 4 on their rankings is where things get really fun, though, as Athlon has defending Pac-12 champion Washington ahead of preseason favorite USC to round out the Top 4.

USC is at No. 5, so it's not like Athon cast them aside. However, it is a big change from what most preseason rankings are forecasting, as many believe that USC — under redshirt sophomore Sam Darnold — are due for a breakout year after rattling off a nine-game win streak to close the 2016 season. Many believe that USC will take up a College Football Playoff spot this upcoming season, but don't count out Washington, the Pac-12's playoff representative last year — from yielding their spot so easily with quarterback Jake Browning returning.

Penn State, Clemson, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Michigan round out the Top 10 in Athlon's rankings. Their full rankings of all 130 FBS teams can be seen here.
