Report: Les Miles is on a short list for high-profile head coaching gig

This could be huge!

Les Miles has been attached to several high-profile coaching gigs ever since he was fired by LSU earlier this season. However, it seems he could be headed back to a Power Five school pretty soon and even as soon as this offseason.

Sources have told CBS Sports that Miles is in the mix at Baylor who has made it clear that Jim Grobe is not a permanent solution for them. Grobe has led the team nicely so far this season to a 6-3 record, but was mostly brought in for his reputation of having a lot of integrity, which is something that this team needed after the sexual assault scandal that rocked the school under Art Briles.

Miles himself told CBS Sports he is willing to listen about any Power Five job.

"I'm making myself available to search firms," Miles said. "I'm communicating the best I can."

The 63-year-old Miles went 114-34 at LSU and won a BCS Championship before being fired in September. California's Sonny Dykes is also in the mix along with North Carolina's Larry Fedora. Miles has the advantage of having more experience and championship pedigree than both those coaches.
