From the beginning of the 2016 college football season, the Big Ten was, for the most part, seen as a two-horse race. Michigan and Ohio State both started the season ranked within the top ten with good reason, given their obscene talent level, but after more than two months of football, we are right where we began.

The Wolverines have lived up to the billing throughout the campaign, steamrolling to nine straight wins and a consensus top-three national ranking. The Buckeyes, however, hit a rough patch over the last few weeks, dropping a game and struggling mightily against Northwestern. Still, Ohio State lambasted a top-15 team in Nebraska over the weekend and that cements Urban Meyer’s team in their perch just behind Michigan in this week’s Big Ten power rankings.

Otherwise, this is a (very) slow week for movement within the conference. Only Michigan State suffered what could be termed as an embarrassing loss, falling to Illinois, and the Spartans have now become a full-fledged punch line given their poor play. That is reflected in the rankings below and, as always, feel free to yell and scream in the comments.
