A dirty hit has resulted in suspension for one Maryland player

Maryland plays Minnesota on Saturday.

It looks like an ejection wasn't enough in the eyes of Maryland head coach D.J. Durkin.

Durkin announced on Tuesday that defender Isaiah Davis had been suspended for one game after this dirty hit on Penn State kicker Joey Julius.

Julius gained some attention earlier this season thanks to the hits he was laying on some defenders, but players have been hitting back in recent weeks. Davis was the second player to be ejected for illegally hitting Julius, and apparently Durkin was mad enough to give Davis a second penalty on top of the ejection.
