Four-star CB Brendan Radley-Hiles announces commitment to rising Big Ten school

This came out of nowhere.

Timing is everything and Brendan Radley-Hiles made an interesting choice in that regard. All indications (including those from the prospect himself) were that Radley-Hiles was going to be waiting until the summer to announce his commitment but the four-star 2018 cornerback decided to drop a bomb early. On Friday evening, the No. 5 cornerback in the country for the class of 2018 announced that he was heading to Lincoln to play for Mike Riley and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

As you might imagine, Riley was quite pleased with the possibility of coaching Radley-Hiles on a daily basis.

In addition to being a top-five cornerback, 247Sports ranks Radley-Hiles as the No. 36 overall player in the class and he reportedly held offers from Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and others. At this juncture, the soon-to-be high school senior at IMG Academy (Fla.) rates as the top player in Nebraska's 2018 class and, with that on the table, it is easy to see why everyone is so happy.

It is never a full-fledged given that a player will see the field immediately, especially at the highest level where Nebraska operates. Still, it seems almost safe to project that Brendan Radley-Hiles will receive playing time right away in Lincoln and the sky is the limit on his immense talent.
