Les Miles' next possible coaching opportunity may have opened up after this school fired its coach

So it's finally happening.

Les Miles has been sitting back and waiting patiently ever since he was fired by LSU early in the season. It looks like he may have his opportunity to get back into the coaching profession sooner than some thought.

Purdue has officially fired coach Darrell Hazell according to GoldandBlack.com.

Gerad Parker will take over as the interim head coach for now, but you have to think the Boilermakers are eyeing Miles as some people have already reported. Purdue not only failed to win back-to-back games under Hazell but struggled mightily in games following a victory. Including the Iowa game, Purdue lost by an average margin of 21.3 points after the nine games it won.

You can bet Miles won't have a similar problem as he won a national title, two conference titles and three division titles during his 11 years at LSU.
