Monstrous 6'4", 345-pound OL James Ohonba announces commitment

He had a top two and he didn't pick either of them!

Almost two months ago, four-star offensive lineman James Ohonba (6-foot-4, 345 pounds, Stockbridge, Ga.) reportedly had a top two consisting of Duke and Alabama. It doesn't look like Ohonba will be heading to either of those schools.

Instead, Ohonba announced on Friday that he had committed to Michigan State.

First off, I would like to thank God for blessing me with gifts and talents molding me into becoming the person I am today. I owe it all to my family, coaches, teammates, and friends. Without them, I don't think I'd be where I am today. My love for them is indescribable and I deeply appreciate the roles they have played in my life. With that being said, I am bless and honored to say that I am 100% COMMITTED to MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY

Ohonba had taken a visit to Michigan State earlier this week.

This is a big get for Michigan State, who is plucking Ohonba out of the fertile recruiting grounds of south Atlanta. Ohonba becomes the 17th commitment for Michigan State's 2018 class, which ranks 30th in the nation over at 247Sports.

Ohonba is ranked as a four-star by the 247Sports Composite.
