Urban Meyer names the one thing he won't do in recruiting

We'll see if this holds up.

Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes lost out on five-star offensive lineman Carman Jackson when he committed to Clemson over them and USC during the early signing period. However, that wasn't the end of the saga as he claimed that coach Dabo Swinney negatively recruited against Meyer, claiming that he was near the end of his time as a head coach.

However, Meyer says he will never recruit that way despite it costing him a big-time recruit. Here's what he said via 247Sports:

"The one thing you'll never hear Ohio State go into someone's home and talk abut some other school or some other coach. We don't do that. But that's the way it is."

"I don't speak of other coaches, and so I don't worry about it."

Meyer's staff had been "attacked" earlier this season as well when defensive line coach Larry Johnson had to respond to people talking about him potentially retiring at 65-years old. Unfortunately, that will always be a part of recruiting, but at least Meyer is trying to do his part to curb that kind of talk.
