Urban Meyer originally named a stunning school among his "dream jobs"

We doubt he's going to feel the same way now...

Urban Meyer may not be seen as the best coach in college football but he's certainly on the short list. In fact, the presence of Alabama head coach Nick Saban (and perhaps a handful of others) might just be the only thing standing in his way toward grabbing the crown.

Ohio State fans are understandably thrilled to have Meyer as "their guy" as a result and, even when the Buckeyes have hiccups, it doesn't take long to be reminded that the program is in a tremendous place. Amusingly, though, Ohio State was not the only program included on Meyer's list of "dream jobs" and that isn't the only interesting thing about that particular collection.

Meyer's wife, Shelley, spoke with the good folks at Eleven Warriors and she revealed that the Buckeyes were joined by two additional programs. One program is not a surprise in that Notre Dame, where Meyer spent extended time early in his coaching career, made the cut.

The other? Well, it is Michigan.

It has to be noted that Shelley Meyer did not leave any wiggle room in saying it was no longer a dream job for Urban, simply because that would not go over well at this juncture. Still, it was an insightful conversation that included Urban telling his wife that she had "no say" earlier in his career if it came to taking one of those particular jobs.

Urban Meyer probably isn't going anywhere and Ohio State is rolling but it is interesting to consider what might have been elsewhere.
