We could be getting another coaching decision soon.

Charlie Strong has been linked to several coaching jobs including the defensive coordinator job at Oregon with former USF coach Willie Taggart. Another intriguing prospect has come up in the USF head coaching job that Taggart vacated when he went Northwest.

There were reports that Strong was in Tampa on Friday to discuss the job and it looks like the two sides could be close to a deal. While Strong didn't leave Tampa indicating one way or the other if he would take the job, one source close to the Tampa Bay Times says there's a better than 50 percent chance he takes the job.

The source also indicated terms of the former Texas coach's contract with the Longhorns remains a minor sticking point. Strong's Texas deal calls for him to be paid his base salary of $10 million, but the Longhorns are also entitled to half of whatever he makes at his next job.
