College football community is in mourning after a 19-year-old player tragically passed away

He's the second player from the same program to pass away in three years.

Freshman Kent State offensive lineman Tyler Heintz passed away Tuesday after a conditioning workout earlier that morning, according to Yahoo Sports.

"The Kent State University family mourns the tragic loss of one of our student-athletes, freshman football player Tyler Heintz," the school's statement says. "Tyler was transported to a local hospital by paramedics this morning following football conditioning drills at Dix Stadium. The cause of death is not yet known."

Heintz was a 6'4", 275-pound offensive lineman out of Kenton, Ohio.

Heintz is the second Kent State player to pass away in the last three years. Center Jason Bitsko, 21, was found dead in his room in 2014. He was later found have had an enlarged heart.
