According to Alex McQuade of WXIA, parents at the school complained about some of Bryant's posts on social media. The school asked him to resign, and he refused. So the school let fired him.

The school didn't cite which post got Bryant fired, but he was led to believe it was a post his wife made three years ago where Bryant is holding an alcoholic beverage.

"I was led to believe it was my wife's (post)," Bryant said. "They never showed it to me or never said anything other than a parent brought it to their attention.

"I don't know if they went back three years. I know they went through her social media and everything. They actually called her in and spoke with her during the interview process, so I don't really know, to be honest."

Bryant played at Alabama from 1996-1999, and he was selected in the first round by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 26 overall pick of the 1999 NFL Draft. He also played for the Detroit Lions.
