According to Gainesville Police, former Florida player Daniel McMillian was arrested on Thursday for attempted sexual battery and false imprisonment — both felonies.

According to the police report, a woman came over to McMillian’s apartment on Tuesday in a professional capacity when McMillian allegedly locked the woman in a room, exposed himself, and grabbed the victim. The victim then allegedly kicked McMillian and was able to get away before contacting police.

McMillian was booked at 7:14 p.m. on Thursday.

McMillian, a linebacker, played at Florida for four seasons, with his best year coming in 2016, where he recorded 29 total tackles. More famously, McMillian caused controversy last year with a since deleted tweet where he claimed he would have been better off if he had never gone to Florida.

McMillian is a former four-star of the 2013 class, where he was ranked as a Top 100 overall recruit. He originally chose Florida over Alabama and Ohio State, among others.
