Four-star offensive tackle James Ohonba has been hounded in his recruitment by some of the bigger powerhouses like Michigan, LSU, and Alabama. However, he told Scout that he has a top two right now and while one of the names is to be expected, the other is a total shocker in Duke.

The 6’5″, 320-pound colossus of a lineman said that schools like LSU, Michigan and USC have dropped off for a very specific reason.

“I’m still considering those schools, but haven’t really been in contact with USC, Michigan and LSU. I still like them, but communication with them has been minimal. I’m also considering Duke.”

He then went on to say that Duke is one of his top two schools with Alabama who has as much football tradition as Duke has basketball tradition. We are clearly living in crazy times, but Ohonba values his education and had a lot of praise for what he can potentially do with a degree from Duke.

Ohonba is ranked as the No. 11 OT in the class of 2018 by Scout and has offers from Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Missouri and Tennessee among others.
