Four-star Texas safety Atanza Vongor turns down Tom Herman with his commitment

Looks like recruits won't just fall for Herman that easily.

Many recruitniks probably thought that Tom Herman would come into Austin and just clean house in the state of Texas when it came to recruiting. It looks like that won't be happening in the first season under Herman as TCU was able to steal away four-star safety Atanza Vongor out of Grand Prairie, Texas.

The 6'1", 200-pound is ranked as the No. 4 safety by Scout and the top one in the state of Texas. 247Sports had Baylor and Texas listed as TCU's greatest competitors to land Vongor, but he also had offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida and Georgia among many others.
