Four-star WR Michael Wilson announces commitment to "dream school"

He's off the recruiting market!

Four-star 2018 wide receiver Michael Wilson held a myriad of interesting offers from high-end college football programs. Those offers reportedly included Notre Dame, UCLA, Washington, Arizona State and others, but the dynamic pass catcher from West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade found his "dream school" when he committed on Wednesday. That dream school was Stanford and he shared his thoughts on the move with Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports.

"Stanford has been the school I have dreamed of going to from a very young age. Their high academic standards and curriculum as well as their football program easily sold my family and I.

"My dad always said to me, you can't pass up an offer from Stanford."

With his senior season still on the horizon, Wilson currently ranks as the No. 33 wide receiver in the 2018 class according to 247Sports and that also places the 6'2, 180-pound prospect within the organization's top 200 nationally. While that doesn't necessarily make Wilson a no-doubt superstar at the college level, this is a significant addition for David Shaw and his staff.

It remains to be seen as to whether Michael Wilson can successfully build on a massive junior campaign that netted him the offer from Stanford that he always looked for but the Cardinal picked up a very nice piece for the future here.
