Georgia has parted ways with a defensive coach, and the reported reason why is bizarre

Rocker had been with Georgia for three seasons.

Well this is awkward.

Georgia announced late on Tuesday that defensive line coach Tracy Rocker was no longer with the program, ending Rocker's three-year stint with the school that started back in the Mark Richt era. Assistant coaches being let go after National Signing Day isn't unusual, but the reported reason why Rocker may have been let go does lean in that direction.

According to Scout, Rocker was let go after reportedly getting into an argument with the mother of five-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon. Solomon had been one of Georgia's top targets heading into National Signing Day, but the five-star instead signed with Michigan even after he had decommitted from the Wolverines several months before.

Rocker, a former Outland Trophy winner at Auburn, has previously coached with the Tigers, as well as Ole Miss and Arkansas. Georgia has since named Ole Miss' Tray Scott as Rocker's replacement.
